It’s a process. Honour the process.
Life is a process, not a destination. Enjoy the process, get lost in the process. Don’t curse the process, this is what you came to experience.
If you could have all your desires fulfilled with a click of your fingers (and you can) would you then be happy or would there be a sense of disappointment? You know that feeling you get when you’re reading an amazing book, you don’t want it to end but at the same time you can’t put it down. Each page draws you into the story a little bit more. With each line you wonder what could happen next. You read with a detached involvement because you know that no matter what happens in the book, you can put it down and walk away. You can enjoy the story with all it’s up’s and down’s because it’s exciting!
That’s exactly the way your life was designed. Your purpose is to enjoy the up’s and down’s and relish the excitement with a detached involvement, knowing that you are infinite spirit and ultimately nothing can harm you or destroy you. You can enjoy the game of life in the exact same way you enjoy reading a great book. Get involved, feel the excitement, relish each unfolding, but from a place of detachment, knowing that you can draw back, retreat into your heart centre at any time. Instead of closing the book, in life you close your eyes, connect with your still quite centre and unfold into peace. This is how you walk away, detach, retreat.
Imagine you had a book that you never put down. You never closed the book, you just kept reading and reading and reading. After a while, no matter how good the book, you’d grow tired.
You beloved one have grown tired. Put down the book, draw back inside, take a break within your loving heart centre. You deserve this, you need this rest.
Be still. Go within. Rest. Replenish.
